Our Vision:

We envision a future in which more than 60% of the energy used by Nevada homes and businesses will be generated by cost effective and renewable sources of energy by 2025: wind, solar, geothermal, hydroelectric and bio-diesel, and that the carbon footprint of vehicles traveling to, from and within the state will be reduced by 40%. In addition to making Nevada a role model of environmental sustainability, our collective endeavors will significantly enhance the state's economic sustainability by helping to attract – via our already favorable business climate coupled with clean, low-cost energy - new businesses offering skilled career opportunities that provide more stable wealth generation.

REA250 FOUNDERS:

Susan Clark

Dr. Susan Clark is the Chief Executive Officer for Dynamic Competence, LLC, based out of Reno, NV.  While pursuing her doctorate in Biophysics, Susan found herself drawn to researching and identifying the causes of the many problems that arise when scientists, government agencies, and the general public are unable to effectively communicate and interact with each other. Specifically, what keeps talented and well-intentioned people from working together to solve important challenges?

In 1997, she created her first non-profit to explore collaborative processes at the regional level. This work, culminating in a $2.7M National Science Foundation grant, focused on the interface between academic, governmental, and non-profit cultures. She also was the Educational Director at the University of California, White Mountain Research Station, where she was responsible for the interface between university research and the K-16 educational programs.

Augmenting her academic and non-profit work, she developed Dynamic Competence LLC in 2006 to test her theories in corporate environments and to develop innovative products to support information management in complex collaborations. Based on her extensive background in strategic facilitation over the past 15 years, Susan also became the exclusive Master Trainer for Thinking Styles® in North America in 2007.

In addition, Susan is the lead technical consultant for a number of challenging collaborative projects that range from capacity building in research teams to integrative problem solving between governmental agency, university scientists, and local communities of interest.  Dr. Susan Clark has developed the essence of Dynamic Competence in such a wide range of environments, that she now employs these elements as a corporate consultant with national clients from California to Florida.
